We are seeking a skilled motion graphic designer to join the creative team of our client, an award-winning training company. In your cover letter, please include a link to your portfolio showcasing your impeccable design/motion skills.
As a Motion Graphic Designer:
• 3+ years of experience working in design and video environments.
• Formal design, animation, or visual arts training. (BFA or MFA preferred)
• Fundamental understanding of 2D animation principles
• Character Rigging (such as Duik or Rubberhose) is a huge plus.
• Drive to create audience-focused designs that surprise and delight.
• Ability to quickly translate brainstorming discussions and big-picture ideas into relevant
creative visuals.
• Expert-level knowledge of Adobe Suite {Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere}
• Ability to work, self-direct, and prioritize within a virtual team.
• Ability to work in a variety of styles and incorporate branding.
• Willingness to take creative direction, adapt on the fly, and offer solutions that drive to
succeed.
• Able to meet tight deadlines and handle pressure.
• Be very organized, and efficient, and pay close attention to details while handling multiple
tasks.
• Good communication skills with the ability to take direction and explain design thinking.
• Sense of humor, good attitude, and the ability to make work fun!
• You have an exceptional portfolio showcasing motion design and video work.
• You obsess over good motion design, and you regularly collect and share examples.
• You have a keen awareness and knowledge of motion and design trends.
• You notice when a design is imperfect by a few pixels and other details others do not.
• You take ownership of your projects and take pride in a perfectly executed final product.
• You love a good deadline and can manage your own time successfully.
• You understand timing and composition, but you are also a designer/illustrator – you
understand the importance of great typography, color, space, and grids.
Your Responsibilities as Motion Graphic Designer:
• Conceptualize, storyboard, and illustrate elegant, clean, minimal design/motion graphics
based on an established brand aesthetic and style.
• Brainstorm, storyboard, sketch, and illustrate style frames from concept to final video
• Create graphic templates for easy use by other team members and client teams
• Collaborate with the creative team and be able to dive into any project at any phase
