Associate Campaign Manager at KMC Solutions Inc.

Job Description

The Associate Campaign Manager will split their time 50/50 between Campaign Specialist tasks and supporting the Campaign Managers and Kanban board to which they are assigned. The ACM will be able to fulfill the role description of the ACS as well as be able to traffic the Kanban board effectively and provide seamless coverage for all clients assigned to their board when a Campaign Manager is out of office. The ACM will be effective at client communication and interaction, both written and verbal.  

Within the first 6 months in the role, the ACM should be: 

  • Accomplished in the basics of email HTML with the ability to: 

  • Modify a basic HTML email following documentation of the process, where code is provided to DEG by the client

  • Build a simple email using WYSIWYG out-of-the-box platform tool

  • Build emails using SFMC Content Builder using stored content areas 

  • Update image src urls with the appropriate elements and attributes 

  • Update URL with appropriate tracking where applicable 

  • Adjust padding as needed based on the creative 

  • Add and remove a complete nested table without inducing a negative impact on the rest of the HTML in the email 

Accomplished in basics of Ampscript with the ability to: 

  • Identify Ampscript code 

  • Identify the functionality of a basic Ampscript block  

Accomplished in the basics of Photoshop with the ability to: 

  • Identify the layer of a specific element 

  • Turn layers on or off in order to slice a background image 

  • Use the eyedropper tool to identify the color of a specific element  

Accomplished in the basics of DEG’s standards of quality process - specifically with static email campaigns:

  • Understanding of DEG/CM QA process 

    • Send test to appropriate Team QA Outlook inbox
      Send test to Litmus 

    • Identify rendering issues  
      Proofing copy   

  • Able to identify basic grammar issues 

    • You vs. Your 

    • To, Too, Two 

    • There, Their, They’re 

    • Your, You’re 

    • Visually spot typos

    • Transposed letters 

    • Correct word choice, I.e. grammar & context

  • Test and verify links 

  • Tracking appendages 

  • Ensure functionality 

  • Apply critical thinking to ensure context of links matches email content  

Accomplished in the basics of data segmentation:

  • Export subscriber file to SFTP

  • Import data file to SFMC, mapping fields

  • Create sendable data extensions using the filter functionality 

  • Create a random split of a data extension

  • Create basic Test and Seed data extensions

  • Standards of quality testing of a data extension based on provided requirements 

Accomplished in the basics of deployments with the ability to: 

  • Set up of user initiated send and automation based on client-provided requirements

  • Schedule and activate an automation Standards of quality testing of user initiated send, automation and A/B test based on client-provided requirements

  • Deployment tracking of all required metrics

  • Oversight of deployment tracking for all clients assigned to their board to ensure real-time, complete documentation

  • Ability to troubleshoot deliverability less than 98% 

Accomplished in Kanbanize Methodology:

  • Monitors the Kanban board to ensure methodology is followed by the team of ACS/CS.

  • Prioritizes tickets in swim lanes based on Test Due Date and Deployment Date

  • Ensures tracking is completed within 24 hours

  • Ability to cover all Campaign Manager tasks for clients assigned to their Kanban board when CM is out of the office for any period

  • Create tickets

  • Meets DEG communication standards, both in internal and client-facing communication

  • Lead client communication in communication tool, I.e. Basecamp, Teamwork, Microsoft Teams

  • Run client status calls in absence of CM
