Job Description

What will be your responsibilities?

  • Be responsible for the development and support of the ministry’s managed file transfers to automate and support clinical and operational workflows, as well as the curation of best practices and development of standards to support these workflows

  • Scopes, develops, documents, and supports managed file transfers across the ministry utilizing its managed file transfer engine(s).

  • Ensures protection and security of all data transfers, both internal and external.

  • Provides data transformation services to support integrated workflows. .

  • Facilitates communications among various committees/teams related to system implementation and support of these projects

  • Utilizes knowledge of hospital and professional billing workflows to architect and document optimal file transfer workflow.

  • Utilizes working knowledge of continuous improvement methods to develop work process improvement plans for information systems.

  • Using change management policies and procedures, manages the change management process for file transfers and data transformation processes.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 5+ years of proven experience in data management

  • Mastery of hospital and provider-based billing workflows and associated EDI X12 standards.

  • Understanding of secure file transfer protocols (FTP/S, SFTP, HTTPS, WebDAV)

  • Competent in computer network concepts and fundamentals. Understanding of site-to-site VPN tunnels, IP NATs, firewalls, and other core technologies that connectivity between hosts engaged in managed file transfer

  • Understanding of cloud-based storage services (Amazon S3, SharePoint, Azure, etc.)

  • Proficiency in VBScript and/or PowerShell

  • Proficiency in SQL, SSIS
