We are looking for a talented software engineer to join our growing technology team. This is an exciting opportunity to become a member of the 8x8 CPaaS Engineering team that is involved in the entire life cycle of app development.

This role is based in our Cebu office.

Your responsibilities

Code your ideas! Test, review, fix, deploy and celebrate.
Take part in design discussions, code reviewing and integrations testing
Enhance and maintain the 8x8 Voice SDK for Android / iOS
Design and build VoIP applications using the 8x8 Voice SDK for Android / iOS
Discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency
Write technical specs and conduct knowledge sharing sessions for team members

Desired skills and experience:

A computer science degree or equivalent qualifications
5+ years of professional software development experience
Solid understanding of all aspects of the development life-cycle for Android / iOS apps, proficient in Swift / Kotlin / Java
Good knowledge and experience in object-oriented programming, design patterns, data structures and RESTFul APIs.
Good knowledge of mobile application performance management and secure coding practices
Experienced in agile methodologies

Beneficial skills and personality traits:

Experience in building mobile apps / SDKs for both Android and iOS platforms
Knowledge of Android Databinding, Kotlin coroutines, SwiftUI, Swift package manager
Experience in RESTful APIs, reusable software components, concurrency and low-level C-based libraries
Experience in VoIP / SIP / WebRTC technology stacks
Fluency in English (both in writing and speaking) and great communication skills
Methodical, logical and well organized- Strong analytical & troubleshooting skills. Thrilled to solve problems
